Define the requirement and its owner
Ask the appropriate internal specialist to identify who needs training, what evidence is required and how often it must be renewed. Record the policy or requirement version and the person accountable for maintaining it.
Assign learning with a realistic deadline
Target the right employees and explain why the training matters. Include expected time and a contact for questions. Configure reminders before the deadline, and agree an escalation path for overdue work.
Preserve history when the cycle renews
A new cycle should not erase the previous completion. Keep the earlier evidence and start a fresh assignment so a reviewer can distinguish historic compliance from the current requirement.
Review exceptions and the programme itself
Make space for leave, role changes and approved exceptions. Review completion evidence and overdue cases regularly. Validate retention and reporting requirements with the people responsible for your organization’s obligations.
